What a tub cut-out is
A tub cut-out removes a section of the tub's side wall where you step in, and replaces it with a factory-made, watertight insert. The step-in height drops to a fraction of the full tub wall. Everything else stays: the tub, the tile, the plumbing.

EasyLivingBC is an approved Vancouver-area installer for CleanCut tub cut-out kits, which come in several heights and include convertible versions that can still be closed for a bath.
Is a tub cut-out right for you?

| Wheelchair use | No | Yes, with a curbless design |
| Best for | Walking independently, trouble lifting legs over the tub | Walkers, shower chairs, assisted bathing |
Not sure which fits? Many families start with a cut-out and grab bars, then plan a walk-in shower later. We'll give you an honest recommendation at the site assessment.
How it works
- Site assessment. We check the tub material and condition, measure, and confirm which insert fits. The assessment fee is credited toward the job.
- Precise cut and finish. We cut the opening, finish the edges and fit the watertight insert.
- Seal and safety. Sealant is applied and cured; we add grab bars and non-slip treatment if needed.
